ABOUT ME
My pieces are combinations of organic shapes, contrasting colours, intricate inlays and precision joinery. By
carefully selecting each piece of wood for my projects, I’m able to produce items with unique grain patterns that
glow like fine art. End products are showpieces full of details inspiring a closer look and touch.
For my ‘Electrified Wood’, I apply 10,000 volts of electricity to the wood which causes a ‘lightning bolt’ as the
electricity follows the natural path of the wood’s structure, burning the wood as it flows. I then clean the
charred wood with a hard brush and fill the burned in pattern with a food-safe soy based epoxy which I colour
and polish producing a one-of-a-kind, created-by-nature design. My wood, epoxy, pigments and oils come from
suppliers in Ottawa which means when you purchase a product of mine you are supporting more than just my
small business.
